Are the Redskins legit?

Two scrappy wins do not a contender make, but Washington are back to their defensive best. On offense, they have big-play threats (Santana Moss, Clinton Portis) and a healthy group of support players who can keep the chains moving. Jason Campbell is still raw, but he can move when he needs to and his throws and decisions are getting better. Last year’s poor record (and the resulting easier schedule) and a poor NFC mean that the Skins (and, alas, the C*wboys) have a chance to move to the top of the conference. D*llas (who still look vulnerable in the secondary, for all their heavy scoring) go to Soldier Field on Sunday, while Washington host a banged-up (and very bad looking) Giants.

The Skins could be clear at the top of the NFC East this week, with two divisional wins. Good times. Shame the AFC is light years better.
