Pavlik beats Taylor again!

Posted in General on February 17, 2008 by Steve

Not as exciting as the first fight, but a far better bout.  Taylor was much better, technically and can probably claim a moral victory.  Kelly Pavlik still unbeaten, just an awesome fighter.  He clearly has height and reach, but I’ve no idea where his power comes from.  An associate of his famously claimed he had the punch of Popeye, but the body of Olive Oil.  Nice. Another great boxing year ahead; with Haye v Maccarinelli, Marquez v Pacquiao, Casamayor v Katsidis and Marquez v Vasquez in March alone.  April sees Cotto (my favourite fighter) v Gomez and Calzaghe v Hopkins.   Good times.  De la Hoya and Mosley are scheduled for May fights, as well.

The perfect video clip?

Jeff Stelling is an utter legend (part 2).

Dippers humiliated.

Underdog upsets giant.

Phil Thompson’s fucking (big-nosed) face.

Matt le Tissier seeing justice done.

Magic.
