Ian Bell’s Saturday Essay

Posted in Uncategorized on March 28, 2009 by Steve

Bell on the decline of his beloved Embra.

I think Ian’s been on the sauce, and someone’s rattled his cage, as this is less an essay than an opinion and opine (sic) for the old days. Good fun, though.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Doug Stanhope.

Greatest living (only just) human being.

Even The Legend is frightened of Doug.

Speaking of which, The Legend and I were discussing, quite reasonably, that golf is wank and played by wankers, when The Legend came out with;

“Winston Churchill was right, it is a good walk spoiled!”

God Bless you, The Legend

Bell gets stuck into Dubya.

An easy target but enjoyable, nonetheless.

Bell on rendition and cover-ups.

Powerful stuff, as usual.

Danger! The Legend!

Posted in Uncategorized on March 13, 2009 by Steve

Warning! The following anecdote (from earlier in the week) contains an actual quote from The Legend.

The Legend was talking about his partner (Piglet‘s mother) and her upcoming birthday. I asked The Legend what The Legend was buying her and The Legend mentioned a book that she had seen in Tesco (undoubtedly a literary classic, then…)

Warning! Here comes the quote!

“But it’s only £3.47. Do you think I

should get her something else, as well?”

What’s more worrying is the fact that they may produce more Piglets. Or chickens, but that’s another story for another time.

The Legend rides again, people.

Start stocking up on tinned food for the apocalypse.
